Nah, You're giving Trump too much credit.
He just wanted some attention. That's the long and short of it.
Globalize? The guy doesn't know anything about the rest of the globe, nor does he care. He just wants attention.
Yes, I do think #Trump is stupid. The reason I think that is because we see him make unforced errors over and over as he loses otherwise obtainable goals, as we watch him shoot himself in the foot over and over throughout his record.
From him botching his own court case that led to his felony convictions through botching negotiations for peace deals through botching trade negotiations leading to responses that he definitely said wouldn't happen, the guy keeps messing up in ways that were obviously going to happen.
His record of making promises that he couldn't keep reflects a level of stupidity that is really quite striking.
