The legal dispute was the Supreme Court's Callais case which cheated many Black people out of their voting rights. Soon after Republican racists on the Supreme Court further weakened the #VotingRightsAct, Republican racists in Southern legislatures took action to cheat Black people in their states of political representation. Those racists eliminated some majority Black districts by adding more White voters.
