A lot of #Canadian political pundits keep saying "It's not the country we blame but Trump specifically." And I'm getting more & more skeptical of that.
Yes I know that MANY American regular people are as much victims as anyone.... but #Trump is shitting on #Canada & other allies (and on Americans!) and it feels like NO ONE in the administration is pushing back or voicing disagreement. Has he so completely turned the party into sycophants??

Trump turned what he claimed was a swamp into an abusive, contagious, wood-chipper that sucks up all of America's good will, innovation, global soft power, and internal stability and shreds it into chum for the sharks running the country.

You're absolutely correct to be skeptical of that nonsense. The number of people in this country who are perfectly fine with these sociopaths is staggering. Remember 77 million people voted for this and another 90 million stayed home because politics doesn't affect them.
To this day many people on the left try to pretend this is normal, Bernie Sanders celebrated their election, saying the American people wanted change, and they were right.
I think you're overlooking that so many people honestly don't know what they voted for, what's happening, or how any of this works in the first place.
So many stand up every day and promote a version of current events completely divorced from reality.
It's not that they're sociopaths that are fine with this. It's that they believe this isn't happening--they're constantly fed a different story--and you'd have to be a sociopath to want something different.
They believe the MAGA stance is successfully helping people, and you'd have to be a sociopath NOT to want to help people like that.
Perhaps that reflects more on the people you associate with?
The MAGA people I know are quite diverse, and few show that sort of trait. I guess I get out more?
