@worldsendless when i last read (or tried to, its hard to understand what they call writing) they basically have records stored as blobs with UIDs and then there is a blockchain which sequences the UIDs, where deleting data ("expunging") in XTDB is basically removing the datablock that correlates to it.

@icedquinn Interesting way to look at it. I was using XTDB (then, Crux) before I knew what blockchain was. Truth be told, I'm still not sure I know what blockchain is. But I think they definitely agree with you: https://xtdb.com/blog/blockchain-without-crypto/
