I'll mostly talk about software dev and ops. Since 2016 my focus has been on containers and cloud. Before that I was a "plain" SWE for many years.
My current interests are #k8s, #GitOps, Platform Engineering, o11y, IaC plus a secret weakness for infosec.
I also have a private life that I mostly spend AFK these days. So it took an exodus to join mastodon after considering it for a long time. Happy to finally be here.

Hi @schnatterer! It's great that you are in the mood for #k8s and so on. It's my everyday on cloud computing and it is worth the challenge. There are tons of things to learn and I believe you will have fun. Well, being on #containers and #kubernetes since 2016 surely make you skilled on it. Great!

Yeah, I have some stories to tell. E.g. first time I used docker we built this shiny compose file that brought up a whole ecosystem of system with one command but our customer being conservative wanted the result deliverd as JAR on a CD 😂
A year later we started with #k8s (version 1.7.5) and our first breaking change was the introduction of RBAC in 1.8.
Feels like a lifetime ago.
