@dsfgs Ok now have a blog post for the flyers
https://personaljournal.ca/paulsutton/fediverse-flyers
I will start to share these more widely, see if we can capitalize the current situation in Australia.

>what exactly IS it going to take for people to **abandon** that wretched platform ?
>In computer graphics, ``double buffering`` is a technique for drawing graphics that shows no (or less) **stutter, tearing, and other artifacts**. It is difficult for a program to draw a display so that pixels do not change more than once. For instance, when updating a page of text, it is much easier to clear the entire page and then draw the letters than to somehow erase only the pixels that are used in old letters but not in new ones. However, this intermediate image is **seen by the user as flickering**.
It's easier to do something fun and **new on a new** website than to try and do something **old on a new** website.
Nice poster. #YearOfTheFediverse #YearOfDecentralization
On a related note, their algorithms seem to be rather flawed at times too.
Black Country: Facebook censured local dish chat

For the record ( and to make sure there is no confusion or misinterpretation ) the Black Country is a region of the West Midlands, in the Uk, in and around Birmingham, so named due to the historical industrial heritage
lol
regarding your blog post:
Than You!
Just: Can we specify the credits?
CreativeCommons is no license and so would mean PD …
What does @dsfgs want exactly?
e.g
CC by 4.0 International
https://creativecommons.org/choose/?lang=en
just btw: Having a very looong meeting now for our film about Climate Refugees with public broadcaster colleagues.
So, DSFGS, if there is anything I forgot, e.g. in https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks/t/fedi-flyers/1452 please mention me explicitly here so that my phone makes 'toot' :)
Thank you again!
Is this better ?
https://personaljournal.ca/paulsutton/fediverse-flyers
@sl007 @dsfgs Done and no problem
https://personaljournal.ca/paulsutton/fediverse-flyers
@writeas_dev makes doing these changes very painless which is great and a credit to the developers.
Made a note in the official forum
https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks/t/fedi-flyers/1452
btw: The meeting with Matt, the founder of write.as, in Cologne was my last physical meeting before the social distancing
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@sl007
Thanks, we issued a correction about this, yes. Some things were copied across verbatim and so the context was lost and that causes confusion.
Good pickup with the 'thanks' we hadn't seen.
Yes Paul, it might be good to add the full license descriptor, that means adding "4.0 International" before the word 'licensed'.
If there's any confusion, happy to rewrite (in full) for your convenience.
@zleap
Great to see this Paul,
Under "License:" simply write:
<LINK>CreativeCommons</ENDLINK> ShareAlike Attribution licensed work by <LINK>DSFGS</ENDLINK>
We'd like to offer a "Special thanks" to:
'@humanetech solutions' for the contribution of the phrase, "Social Notworks"
(But we must ask humane tech solutions as to whether they wish to be mentioned)
Maybe alongside the source file link, add something like…(1/2)
Maybe alongside the 'Source file' link, add something like:
"Source file made in #Inkscape, and features alternate content, such as a #BugBounty (for those who wish to offer a compensation to any person who find, and fixes of course, major security flaws in selected fediverse infrastructures) and more."
Much appreciated and yes, every day more and more reasons pile up as to why we need to Free Software F'ing Everyone (FSFE), haha.
Big thanks for doing this.
No problem, thank you for making these, it makes advocacy easier.
Is there a url for bug bounty please and a different source repository (Happy for someone to grab the 1024x768 versions so people can include as smaller images in websites
Added link to Inkscape in references too
@zleap @humanetech
Sorry, their name is 'Humane Tech Now' not HT Solutions (not sure where we got that name from).
Also, in License section add, "so this means you can share and translate the files yourself and even adapt and improve it! Of course, ShareAlike means the message and spirit of the piece cannot be changed."
Ok done, added as a quote so it looks different and breaks up the page a little.
I need to link to the original repository not the one on my qoto git instance really.
