I have really found that, people can have intellectual discussions here, same as with science forums,
I wonder if that is actually a barrier for a lot of people, to get the most out of being here you HAVE to engage. Not that having a barrier such as that is a bad thing, if it gets people to change their mindset, it is a good thing.

Thing is, it is possible to set up a 'bot' account that is used to just relay content. So I guess for example a blog which just posts news or other updates can be followed by the 'bot' account.
So not all word press blogs allow comments, I think what is still important to monitor how many follow, and boost but at least for a business have an account on here to back up any announcements with a human who can interact.
I think over time, people will find there is benefit to doing that.
