I spent six years living in a falling apart hunting shack in northern Wisconsin with a living room window that overlooked Lake Superior.

One of my favorite things about being there was watching storms roll in across the lake.

Extremely lucky to get this shot by waiting for the lightning to start and repeatedly mashing the shutter button.

I remember when I was in canada, sitting b a lake watching the skies get ever darker, then the rain drops started falling, by the time i got to a larger building on the site, the rain was much heavier.

For a Brit in Canada it seemed odd feeling, feeling the temperature etc change as a storm approached.

@zleap @justusthane It's an odd feeling for people who've lived here their whole lives too.

@zleap It’s really an amazing thing to experience. Why don’t you get that in the UK?

@justusthane

We don't generally get tornados in the UK, however yeah, I am by the coast so just watching the clouds build up over a long / short period of time.

I guess a lot of the time we don;t just sit and contemplate and take in what is going on around us.
