May want to look at the Beatles Eight days a week film, they refused to play in I think it was Jacksonville due to segregation, In fact I think it was part of a contract that segregated stadia would not be played at, this was 1964

The stadium was desegregated nd the Beatles played, so it shows that the policy could be reversed even back then.
