of course you can't, you're invested in the system-as-it-stands as a tool for softening the impact of the system on its victims. having essentially nothing and few prospects, i am more free to accept that radical action is needed. maybe it is futile to hope for liberation and this is the best we can hope for..

Time banks/mutual credit are a practical alternative to money-based markets for local and regional communities.

Building blocks for such systems have already been created in Fediverse software projects. I won't name names yet,, would like to leave it open for projects to announce themselves.

Beyond that, people in Europe are working on community food systems and expanding to whole community economies.

The Torbay Development Trust run a time bank system, seems to work pretty well.
