I think the issues with wild camping are more complex, **a vast majority of people wild camp responsibly**, however as we have seen during the summer heat waves, one or two idiots spoil it for everyone else, hence we have had massive fires on open ground, or rubbish left strewn everywhere, human waste left on the ground etc etc.
We have even had a disposable BBQ left buried in the sand, found by a child standing on it (as it was still hot) child suffered horrific burns.

How do the national parks balance those of us who are responsible with those idiots who spoilt it for everyone else.

It is those of you who do things properly who end up on the wrong side of these rulings.

@zleap @tf @alex_roddie As noted by campaigners, people who behave like that are very unlikely to take any notice of the ban.
If you want to ban people there will always be an excuse.
