Threats of violence, offers to kill someone, encouraging suicide, and/or any related awful comments, harassment, or related behavior is not welcome and will result in suspension without warning.
Claiming “it was a joke” is unlikely to help. Also, using the “appeal” functionality to take a parting shot at the moderators may feel good, but it just further evidence that person doesn’t belong here.
Accounts demonstrating such behavior on other instances will similarly be suspended and if moderators on the originating instance do not take action, we may suspend the instance.
Really good policy and post here, yeah i get sick of the "it was a joke" excuse, it is used in the work place for trying to justify sexual harassment for example.
It may seem funny to the abuser, but the victim sees it as totally the opposite,
Keep up the good work as mods you do a really good job regardless of where you are on fedi.
