For everyone asking if I am okay after the Google layoffs that hit yesterday...
No. I am not okay.
Yes. I still have my job.
I watched as one my best friends and teammate for the last 8 years discovered he had lost his role when his badge simply stopped working. Cut off, just like that. I had to bring his personal items down to him in a bag.
Was I impacted? No.
Was I impacted? Yes.
Just a very disappointing, frustrating, sad experience.
I thought the lay-offs were Alphabet, the google parent company/

@zleap Alphabet encompasses Google and the Other Bets. Google is the majority of employees and revenue.
