Indeed, lets hope it does not spread too much over there now.

Measles seems to be on the rise in the UK as well as various conditions relating to the virus that causes chickenpox.
At one time, children who had chikenpox were exposed to each other so everyone got it at the same time and as a result built up immunity.
This is all the reason we should teach science in schools and tell kids they can decide for them selves after being presented with science based facts, which they should base their own arguments on.
@zleap @somegirlprivacy Of course I'm in total agreement with you both about the importance of vaccinations and education.
My comment was only about the randomness of pulling a 4-year old story now.
Just out of curiosity I checked the data: Costa Rica had 10 cases of measles in 2019 and zero cases in the following two years, so the disease was properly contained.
UK had 1.2k cases in 2018, 1.1k in 2019 and just 95 in 2020 and 2 in 2021. No data for 2022 yet.

I wonder if there is a correlation between internet access and attitude to vaccines. in term of getting information that is accurate.
@zleap @somegirlprivacy It should be safe now, this news is 4 years old. 😉
