It was great, it had so many firsts that showed Gene Roddenberry was ahead of his time, A big thank you to @georgetakei and everyone else for giving us so many memories and insights in to the future.
Out of interest ho many seasons of Discovery were there, I think about 4, but not fully sure.
@zleap @godpod https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek%3A_Discovery WIki says 5. Not sure how many I have seen - most of then, I believe. Not always in the correct order.
@zleap @SteveClough @godpod There's 4 series, but it's still on going. New series early this year, I think.
@BintyMcFrazzles @SteveClough @godpod
cool, I need to catch up
@zleap @SteveClough @godpod
Have you seen ST: Strange New Worlds? I love that as well.
@BintyMcFrazzles @SteveClough @godpod
No, I did watch Star trek new voyages, really good.
@BintyMcFrazzles @zleap @godpod Ooooh. That would be good.
@SteveClough @zleap @godpod Star Trek was always as woke as it could get away with at the time it was made, and about as subtle as a sledghammer about it too. But I guess some people really were just watching it for the pretty spaceships and ray guns.
And to be fair, the spaceships are very pretty...
@StrangeNoises @SteveClough @godpod
I think gene roddenberry had a good vision for the future where people just worked together to further understanding of the universe and deal with problems without always resorting to violence.
Some of the tech used has even come to pass in some form or other, video conferencing, communicators, all we need now is transporters.
@zleap @godpod Discovery was great. And ST was always what is now called woke.
