Warning pedestrians they may not be safe from stray vehicles, even on the pavement!
Surely it is the driver’s responsibility to get a large vehicle safely round the corner, not the pedestrians’?

Yes, the changes in the Highway code puts responsibility on drivers.
However surely as a pedestrian you do have some responsibility, to use commons and be observant.
