@Jaden2 I was born in 1957 in Texas. While I don’t remember segregated schools, I do remember the “white side” and “other” side of the small city cemetery. I never understood it, even as a small child. I was religious, and believed the souls had gone to heaven, so what was the big deal with dead bodies being next to each other. I was older when I realized that it was the visitors, the living, that whites didn’t want to be near. All these years, and I still want to cry.

I found watching the football movie Remember The Titans, helped open my eyes to what was happening in the US. But is still happening now, so it does in a small way help me to understand.

It is sad that things have not progressed much in 50 years.
