They look like turnstones, common here in the UK at least, so look very similar.
@zleap The bird on the left is a sandering and a turnstone is on the right. They’re probably common where I took the photo, as well. I live about 140 kilometers North of the Gulf of Mexico. It’s a bit of a novelty for me. 🙂
