At our local library we can hand in old coats, these are put on a rail with hangers in the entryway so people can pick up and use as needed.

There is a real shortage of mens coats for some reason, so when I handed in 2 a while back they were really grateful, as I am sure is the person(s) who picked them up.

I really hope that this sort of thing carries on, we are in a cost of living crisis yes, but post that, it helps recycling and reuse of useful items.
