We have had similar issues here in the UK, however it does seem the Human rights act protects people on a public highway and beyond. A doorbell camera can point at your property but seems that it must be positions so that anyone on the public highway can't be viewed.
Diplomatic approach is always a first step, could be that the camera can be repositioned for example.
@zleap @Hyolobrika I had a colleague whose friend bought an armored/artillery tank. (not sure if the 2nd amendment protects that, or if it was disabled in some way). But anyway, it was sitting on his lawn w/the turret pointing at a neighbors house. That neighbor kindly asked him to point it elsewhere, & so he did. So indeed diplomacy sometimes works.
