It looks like the government’s plans would make it illegal to say things like ‘the benefits system is unjust and should be reformed’ or ‘we should swap from FPTP to proportional representation’ or ‘Britain should abolish the monarchy’ or ‘the House of Lords should be replaced with a directly elected chamber’ or ‘Scotland should be independent’. What this may do is force more people to home school their kids, so at least then, they will get a proper education, that prepares kids for the future rather than schools filling their heads with stuff like this.

Many of the things you mention here are valid discussion points that should be debated.

Of course the above is nice in theory but once kids are out of school they can fall off the radar and some fall victim to abuse, which is much harder to pick up unless those kids have contact with other kids or people in say clubs where the leaders have had training in how to spot the signs of abuse.
