Western countries (that includes the UK) really do need to wake up to espionage, if live in Russia. China, Iran, N Korea and a few other countries and sold secrets to other countries considered hostile you would probably be executed.
We may not want to follow that level of punishment but a long prison term or something needs to be handed out to ensure the right message is sent to the person doing these things AND any associates. The difference is in the US you can plea bargain to get a reduced term if you cooperate and hand over details of others involved.
@zleap The problem with Rudy: In his quest to find dirt on the Biden family, which might possibly benefit his client/principal Trump, Giuliani proved to be totally reckless & unable to realize which side/ what individuals not to socialize with, being at risk of being manipulated & controlled by the side you shouldn't normally be with.
A kind of treason you as a normal human being wouldn't expect from a former mayor of NYC, who age-induced seems to have forgotten the words of the oath of office he once swore.
