If you want to know what the 90's were like just apply for a nursing license in Alaska. You have to print and fill out the forms by hand, take them to a notary, get ink fingerprints taken, and then send it in by mail.

Having to write things by hand may seen antiquated, but maybe that is a way to separate those who can actually write properly and those who can't. We still do make handwritten notes in many industries, even if they are typed up later, and a doc may have a secretary or PA to do that, even the best one can't type what they can't
