Why does the website of the European Data Protection Supervisor need a cookie banner?

Websites still uses cookies for even small tasks, you have to offer consent.

Saying that, @writeFreely doesn't seem to use cookies.

@zleap You don’t need consent for functional cookies (like, say, language selection). You don’t even need consent for analytics cookies if you set things up in a compliant manner. They should be an example.
