While at the same time, the UK government wants assurances from the USA that Julian Assange won't be executed for the crimes they have accused him of once the trail is complete. This is not the only example of this.

So from the UK government perspective Death Penalty is a no no, but mass killing of civilians, aid workers, charity workers, medical and support staff is perfectly fine.

Double standards there me thinks.
