I am just downloading #Slackware #Linux so I can install in a vm to help a friend with tech support. If there is anyone in #Torbay #Devon and can help or advice this would be great as I have not used #SlackWare since the mid 90s.
I noticed that, they still use sysV i remembered roughly how to set it up to boot into gui rather than command line
@zleap that's you sorted then. It's a bit like a trip back in time installing and configuring it.
I have the book on it somewhere, granted that was for slackware 3.4 Ior around that.
@zleap it hasn't changed much since then to be honest.
