Or they just goto ChatGPT ask for a program to do X then it does it all for them, they can then pass themselves off as an expert or
programmer.
I have seen this happen and just dispair.
Going forward we could end up with a whole generation with people within who can't actually code at all unless they have these tools.

Yeah, good point you get to know languages, and how they behave, when programming in that language you have to think outside the box as to what the program is doing, what you want it to do, and how the end user(s) is or are going to interact and use the software.
I guess it is why in other areas people talk about doing something by ear, eye or tough, you can make a judgement call that is really accurate just using senses and your knowledge and experience of doing those or simiar tasks.
@zleap I am not sure, if I am talking "thinking outside the box". Actually, I feel like we are now 20 years into everybody thinking "outside the box" and no one looking "inside the box" any more :-) If you don't even know what's inside the box, it is hard to think about it... it just some magic you take for granted.
