Ok, I finally managed to check the profile of today's RGOTD - Reply Guy Of The Day.

He has this on his profile: "Videos und Podcasts sind Medien für Analphabeten, gern für das Kleinkind, aber für erwachsene Leute bitte mit Transcript!" (EN: Videos and podcasts are media for illiterate people, for toddlers if you like, but for adults please use transcripts!)

My guy, there are people on this planet who can't read, not because they are illiterate but because of various other reasons. You fucking asshole have no right to call anyone anything. Go fuck yourself.

Sheesh!! What a fucking asshole!

And no, I can't watch video tutorials or listen to podcasts, but that's because I am on the other side:

1. Videos: can't go through tutorials with the speed of the "teacher"; when I read something, I have my own speed and that's usually significantly faster than other people's

2. Podcasts: this is like listening to audio books - I just can't, because I can't concentrate when what I see and what I hear are not synchronized. And with podcasts or audio books, I either have to close my eyes to concentrate, in which case I fall asleep, or I can't.

But none of those reasons above give me any right to judge on the merits of videos or podcasts, because I know enough people who learn best by watching a video (without transcripts) or listening to podcasts - just not me, that's all.

And no, I am definitely not the Navel of the World!
