The line charts in this article from the Guardian have a sonification option that translates the lines into sounds of different pitch: theguardian.com/world/article/

It's the first time I see such an accessibility feature “in the wild”, and I hope more news outlets will adopt something similar!

Ohh, that is interesting it reminds me of a talk by the space telescope science institute where they were making astronomy more accessible with a sonification project, this would scan a photo of a sky object and translate it in to different sounds depending on what object(s) were in the photo.
