Isreal needs to learn from WWII, Hitler was winning before he decided to invade Russia, by doing so, he opened up a 2nd front. Isreal has done the same, Gaza, and now Lebonon / Hezbollah, but also other countries, what they face seems pretty bad, according to the BBC Hezbollah can fire up to 30,000 missiles a day or something, that would overwhelm their defences. The US and others have told Israel to de-escalate, there HAS to be a red line that if they cross that, start to face the consequences, even the US has to stand back and say Sorry you caused this escalation against our advice, and not help (aka get dragged in to a wider regional conflict, with little way out) We can't / won't help you now.

I think Israel thinks it can start a wider conflict and the usual suspects e.g US and Probably the Uk will come in and help get them out of it. Both countries need to grow some and tell Israel to F*** Off.
