If Trump wins because people don't bother to vote, anyone who tries to protest later will be met with the U.S. military.
So vote. And encourage everyone you know to vote. Because there won't be a second chance here.
Given the military is made up of US citizens who join the army are the army there to defend their country or are they there to follow any orders even if those orders are to shoot fellow US citizens?
@zleap A military coup is a possible option but hopefully enough people vote that we don’t have to rely on something like that.
On the other hand an I feel insurrection is probably a real possibility if Trump loses, he tried it before, he will try again.
A few yeas ago, there was some sort of hearing thing, where they looked at if it was an insurrection, at the time it was suggested the death penality for insurrection is still on the statuate books, since the civil war.
@zleap I suspect he’ll try everything he can. This time he doesn’t have the military backing him up and I don’t think there are nearly as many people willing to join his goon squad. It sucks that he’ll try it but I’m not really worried about it.
