AMOC shutting down could have a catastrophic impact on Northern Europe including more extreme weather events, but also on sealevels along north American coast, and global impacts with changes in precipitation.

I have still not seen much about AMOC other than here, so firstly I thank Professor Stefan Rahmstor for raising awareness. I have seen about the Jet Stream collapsing, which according to the daily fail could plunge the UK in to very cold conditions.
I am concerned about either or both of these systems collapsing.

Funny enough 20 years ago I became aware of the risk of disruption to global ocean currents. The science has much progressed since then, the risk more real.
