@zleap Microsoft turned backup on automatically on this clients computer and backed up all the clients files, which included QB. Now as they were working on it (multiple people accessing the same file), it was messing up.

We don’t have it setup. Now I’m having to decouple the backup and folders and uninstall Onedrive. 😒 Huge mess.

@beardedtechguy

I can see this being a big issue going forward as Microsoft start to force people on to their system, regardless of if they want be on their system.

@zleap Yeah. I see the benefit and having a backup within Windows 11 but stop asking and definitely don’t automatically turn it on, especially for freaking businesses!!!

@beardedtechguy

If the business is based in the UK/EU and the MS server is based in the USA or outside the GDPR jurisdiction, there could be legal issues for the company, of course the MS EULA probably has some Claus to say MS are not responsible. Leaving the company at risk of criminal prosecution and potential civil action.
