If the UK wants to be more self suffient, this is a good idea, as far as Food is concerned, we need farmers on our side. Rachel reeves has isolated farmers by changes to inheritance tax, and feel betrayed. If the government request help then why would farmers help, we need to reverse this tax change and get farmers back on the side of government, build up trust, so when called on, our farmers will be in a much better position to help.

And while on this topic, theft of farm equipment is a huge problem too, as is the money farmers get for producing food.

We have GOT to change direction on this.

I am not even a farmer, so I guess the above is based on common sense.
