A move right out of the right wing & Communist playbook, and with social media giants and fox spreading the sort of 'news' narrative that trump approves of, things are going exactly as he (and I guess project 2025) planned.
What next, he is already attacking the internet. The need for decentralised social media is more important than ever before, the need to fire up old services such as usenet, gopher etc are perhaps also needed.
