"Large Free DC protest against the Trumpist occupation at 14th & U. We're being cheered by a metric crapton of cars and passers-by. Cops stationed at the end of every block nearby but keeping their distance so far.
Things like this give me hope that the American people will not surrender to fascism.
We have marched down U Street and shut down traffic."

I would have thought that many of those police officers share your sentiment, only they can't show that, but the fact they are there, hopefully they will step in if needed, don't forget they have radios, so if a person had a medical episode they can call for, or provide help.
Lets just hope that is the case, as they would have been police officers under Biden too.
