I live in a country built on neoliberal colonial exploitation with toxic ideologies of oppression, coercion & violence endemic.
Women, minorities, gentle folk: all targets.
"Conform or be attacked"
This is "who we are", even though many of us are determindly opposed to these horrors.
When will this country face up to our collective past and current dire state? When will we grow out of this toxicity?
heartbroken.

the Metropolitan police also said officers are continuing to face aggression in multiple locations, in particular at the north of Whitehall. This is where the police are attempting to create safe routes for those attending the anti-fascist counter protest, led by Stand Up To Racism.

According to the police, officers also faced “unacceptable violence” by attendees of the “unite the kingdom” march at Victoria Embankment, where supporters went to try to access Whitehall as the turnout for the march was too large.

Officers were reportedly kicked and punched. Bottles, flares and other projectiles were thrown.

If the authorities can ID who these people are, prison is too good for them, cross reference their ID with the DWP / HMRC to see if any are on unemployment (or similar) benefits, if they are able to attend this they can get a bloody job, if they are on Personal independance payment, as they claim the are too ill to work, and they can attend this and use violence they are fit enough to work. End all their benefits with immediate effect.

Divert the money to those in GENUINE need of help. There are lots of barriers to learning, cost is one, equipment is another, lets end this. Lets HELP people who want to help themselves and want to move on. Too many of those are left in dire need of help and fall through the cracks in the system.

@zleap @bearsong I fear though a lot of them *aren't* on any benefits (maybe the older ones have pensions but also their own private ones rather than state pensions), they are mostly angry young/early middle aged men with full time jobs in the skilled trades.

Many of which involve driving, and working on peoples private houses and critical infrastructure.

Which creates a bigger risk to the country if/when they start deciding to sabotage these things (especially if any government is elected which *does* try to implement progressive policies such as building renewable energy infrastructure)

And those cleared to work in schools with children and young people, they are free to push their hate agenda to those children. School staff are meant to be non-political (is the right term for that apolitical ?) but a school is an ideal place to groom the next generation of fascists and hate mobs.
