@lydiaconwell my take: I can't stand Starmer, and labour as a whole has been engaging a bit too much in identity politics which possibly disengages a lot of white working class families who used to be their primary voting base. Weird times in the UK given the history of labour party.

@zpartacoos Well the Labour right have spent years trashing the party, smearing its members and that is bound to have an effect on voters opinions.

It's like saying "The product we sell is shit. Don't buy it." Then making a few changes and expecting people to flock to buy what you're selling. You know, like: "The cakes we sell give you food poisoning ... Oh, it's all OK now, please buy them!"

Also the Starmer-led party has no policies and nothing that appeals to the working person.
