I finally saw Squid Game. It was good, but it didn't do much for me. Like, there wasn't anything that really made me think.
@2ck don't you think that there are many similarities to the real world?
@barefootstache that's a stretch and still doesn't add significant philosophical depth to the whole thing
@2ck the idea that a handful of rich people put individuals in potentially unpleasant positions for personal entertainment. E.g. some rich people own sport teams that compete against each other for personal pleasure independently of the long-term consequences of the individual players like from head to bone injuries.
