@freemo Yeah, Theocracies and Fundamentalism is fucked up. To criciticse those ideologies is perfectly fine; but to throw the baby out with the bath water is disingenuous. My Islamic Anarchist friend made a really good point; that the holiest person in the bible isn't Jesus (peace be upon him), but rather, the Virgin Mary... without her, he would cease to exist. By completing the covenant, she never rlly died but rather transfigured. This is why mothers are considered the most important members of the community in Eastern culture.
The authoritarian Catholic Church and Saudi Theocracy deems this as heresy unsurprisingly enough.
