@freemo Keep it up and you can meet me in the 50s. :)
@AmpBenzScientist i will probably need to loose some weight before it comes down much further
@freemo Have you considered heavy weight training?
@freemo Swimming like you've been doing does both cardio and strength training. It seems like a much better option considering the injury.
@AmpBenzScientist
Yea water sports is really the best bet for a spinal injury and has done wonders for helping my back recover.
@freemo When I got done weight lifting I would shower off and swim some laps to help with recovery and soreness.
@AmpBenzScientist
I do my pool laps with heavy stiff fins on, so it can be pretty brutal on the legs. Im sore as fuck after an hour of laps.
@freemo That's really good.
@AmpBenzScientist
I agree weight listing is a good way to raise metabolism and loose fat.
My issue is i had a spinal cord injury about 2 - 3 years ago and spent nearly 2 years unable to leave my bed. I put on a lot of weight in that time. So now im back to being very physically active but my weight hasnt quite caught up yet. Just a matter of time at this point.
