This is a simple observation from my years of soldering: Every blend is a different experience.

I used a Zn/Ag/Cu alloy on a PCB and it was a different experience than leaded or the various Rohs solders I've used.

The 3.5% Ag solder with rosin core seems to flow to the joint very quickly with a hot iron.

I also realized that I didn't have adequate ventilation when I woke up feeling like garbage the next day. The HEPA filter was pulling in nearly everything but I suppose a box fan is better.

@AmpBenzScientist The rosin fumes are deadly. I doubt that a mechanical filter works, perhaps charcoal. Better still, a vent to the outside, like a natgas stove.
