Dear friends of New computers,

I ordered a new base unit Xenta computer. Nothing fancy. Cheap and cheerful. No OS (operating system). Will be turning it into a #desktop work-equine #penguin.

Probably using #Manjaro Linux.
Ordered from ebuyer rather than the ubiquitous Amazon (nothing to do with the well know disappearing rain #forest)

My first task on arrival today, all going well, will be reading the #manual (if available). Finding cables, connectors, installing a CD-Rom. Getting used to the #BIOS etc.

Wish me luck! You know it makes sense.

- been watching “Electric Dreams” SF TV series from the mad/genius/prophet Philip K Dicks
- sibling pruned my hair. I am passably humanoid.
- ate Lindt special selection chocs, one of the ‘5 a day’ (treats that is)
- had delicious microwaved scrambled egg with greek yogurt rather than milk) and tinned beans
instead of soup for tea/supper.
