Is the mainstream media trying to justify the invasion?
Here in the US when Bush went into Iraq, they fooled people by saying that Iraq had "weapons of mass destruction" and we had to go in there to find them so Hussan wouldn't kill lots people. But most of us didnt find out until later that the whole thing was a lie and it was just another oil war.
Is the media there trying to persuade people to support the war with lies like that, or do they just not even care anymore what the people think?

Russia's largely blocking the western mainstream media now. Russia's also the one who invaded another country. So somehow I'm not really understanding your wording.
I was asking @academicalnerd about the way that the Russian media is reporting the war to its own people.
