Vote. Please, I'm begging you. Just vote.

Don't think you have a voice? So many elections are decided by the slimmest of margins. Your vote counts, I promise you.

@jasonxbergman I hear this line about "your vote counts" a lot in recent election cycles, but I think that is out-of-date messaging. The people I talk to who are choosing not to vote don't think their vote will be insignificant, they just think there are no good choices and they don't want to slog into in order to decide which out--of-touch candidate might be unable to make meaningful changes because the whole system ins gridlocked.

I saw a political activist say to frustrated young voters "we can't move forward until we avoid moving backwards." it was the least inspiring pitch I've ever heard.

@antares qoto.org/@aosinski/10930079166 seemed less than inspiring. Voting for me is an affirmation of my personal values. This is what *I* want. This is who *I* am. Damn straight it's a "love letter!" It is one for myself. If I can't express my love for my own values in my vote, of what use is it to me? Oh, well I can express rage, and I did: towards the Libertarian Party. Wait, nope... told by the same person I can't rage vote either. Well... damn.
