Anyone know of a privacy friendly alternative to Kindle?
I was just going to buy one, never register and keep it on airplane mode then sideload books via calibre from my pc but after reading this [article](https://nullsweep.com/kindle-collects-a-surprisingly-large-amount-of-data/) I don't want to run the risk of having all my data still being stored & then sent when i forget to keep airplane mode off

@STORM I'm looking at the Kobo, good for taking notes and uses PDFs well, but no direct experience yet https://www.kobo.com/
@buddha_314 @STORM I actually just replaced my Kindle with a Kobo Libra 2. I love the reader, but they also sell your info to third parties & affiliates. *sad face*
@buddha_314 @STORM Totally. That's why I switched to Kobo. I hate the Amazon stranglehold on e-publishing.
@orci @STORM Boox looks really good, but they're very expensive. I want the 10" so I can read journal articles easier https://www.boox.com/
@buddha_314 @orci damn they're expensive lmfao
@buddha_314 @orci what book do you want @orci
@buddha_314 @orci interesting, never heard of it before! Seems worthy of purchasing definitely but 140 is a lot for me 😂 to spend on a single book
@buddha_314 Did you ever buy it
@STORM @orci I'm sure I could find a pirated copy, but it seems right to support the guy: https://www.iospress.com/catalog/books/neuro-symbolic-artificial-intelligence-the-state-of-the-art #nerdalert
