As an English second language person, or who learned English for more than ten years. still constantly said the wrong word for garlic and ginger,( the second letter 'a' is big than 'i', and the shape of garlic is big than ginger. sometimes )

Mandarin has four tones for accent marks, every word have four tones

@Sphinx Many languages have acent marks for that. gárlic would emphasize the a, but acent marks are not used in English.
