How we spread — When a piece of information confirms our beliefs, we don't really look to know whether it's truthful or not and are then more likely to share it, thus spreading potentially fake news.

@Theraviranjankr It always hurts when I have to debunk some information that confirms my beliefs, but that's what life is about – adapting to the changing information landscape.

@Theraviranjankr This is exactly why teaching kids at a young age to be skeptical is so important, but schooling (and our culture more generally) is designed to get kids to just accept what they are told. As a society we reap what we sow.
