So I try to be positive and non-contentious these days..
@ezmyrelda Understandable, i also lowered my combativeness. Mainly because i think i'll be happier by accepting humanity is a loss than fighting it.
Where i got it from is because i scrolled federated, you know procrastination because i can't settle on a movie for the night (1 am here, maybe i should just sleep ^^).
But in the end, i just can't resist posing a choice to obviously insecure people. In an RPG, i'd probably be the third door guard that always goofs around :-)

@ezmyrelda I look to big instances with an uneasy feeling.
The power of mastodon is to not be monetized. That's the one important thing that sets it as a useful tool to talk to people.
A big instance, so big it would collapse everything if it were removed... banking crisis? housing crisis? All the monopolies are just single points of failure. And what i heard of the big instance was not always good, no benevolent dictator there. I really hope this goes on without catastrophic failure.
