ffs, now this trap got the _tail_ of a mouse :(
i feel shitty about this, but i also don't want mice where the electric cables are. time to get a better trap.
@bonifartius Why not get a trap where the mouse gets trapped alive? That way you're at least ensured more than just a severed foot or tail. You can always kill it afterwards if you have to.
@trinsec i can barely fit this one in. it's a really tiny space under the roof, and i had mice who just walked out of the alive traps. also, it often stresses them so much that they get heart attacks.
that's why i wanted a quick and painless method, poison is just evil.
i just need to find and plug the hole where they come inside to prevent this in the first place. it's an old house though, so there are plenty of places to check and miss.
